Mobility: The Abel Tasman National Park has no jetty's, and you will need to remove their shoes to get on and off beaches. The boats are accessible to most people. One step from the beach onto the tender and then again from the tender onto the boarding platform of the boat. Unfortunately, our service is not wheelchair accessible. Kayaks are sit on top and suitable for use with children. Children of all ages welcome with caregiver supervision.
What to bring: Easily removeable shoes are best for cruising such as sandals or flip flops. You may also wish to bring sturdier shoes if you would like to walk some of the track. There are places to change aboard both boats and we provide towels and sunscreen. We also suggest you bring sunhats and a windproof jacket.
Weather: Please ensure you contact us the evening before sailing if you have some concerns. We handle weather cancellations on a case by case basis and often it is best to make the decision on the morning of the trip as forecasting the region is difficult. The trip is fully refunded if we cancel for weather or for any other reason.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If the weather conditions make cruising unsafe, on the day of the trip, Abel Tasman Charters will cancel the cruise at no cost or rebook you for another day, if space is available. This is at the skipper's discretion, and there is no charge in this situation.

Cancellation by the customer or agent:
Cancellation 30 days prior to the trip = 25% of total booking cost or change the booking to another day, if space is available for a 25% fee.
Cancellation 7 days prior to the trip = 75% of total booking cost or change the booking to another day, if space is available for a 25% fee.
Cancellation within 48 hours of the trip or no show = 100% of total booking cost.
We will hold the shared cruise up to 15 minutes for passengers who are lost or running late beyond this we will sail with no refund.
